Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How many CPD points do I need each year?
Licensed Pool Safety Inspectors in Queensland must accrue 6 CPD points each year as a condition of renewing their QBCC licence. 1 CPD point = 1 hour of training.
Is this CPD training self-paced?
Yes. After you have completed the Enrolment Form and selected your CPD training program, your program will be sent to you to complete conveniently at your own pace, in your own time at your office/home. Once you have completed the program, we will send you your Certificate of Completion for your QBCC licence renewal.
What do I receive after completing the session?
A certificate of completion confirming your accrual of 6 CPD points, which you keep as evidence for your QBCC licence renewal application.
Can any licensed Pool Safety Inspector attend?
Yes, the session is open to any QBCC-licensed Pool Safety Inspector in Queensland who needs to accrue their annual CPD points, not just APSIC’s own graduates.
Can I renew my licence if I forget to do my CPD training?
No. It is important that you make a note in your diary when your licence is due for renewal. I recommend making sure you have enrolled in a CPD program at least 6 weeks before your licence is due for renewal. This allows you the time you need to make sure you complete the program and receive your Certificate of Completion from APSIC, prior to renewing your licence.
Do you offer 6 CPD point face-to-face webinars to complete my training?
Please contact Jacqui directly to discuss your interest in attending a 6 CPD point webinar, where you can engage with other Pool Safety Inspectors in your industry.
How much does it cost?
If you need to obtain 6 CPD points, the total cost is $240. $40 per CPD point.
