From the1st December 2010, all swimming pools on regulated land in Queensland are required, at the time of sale or lease of their property, to have a pool safety inspection conducted by licensed pool safety inspectors and be issued with a pool safety certificate stating that the pool complies with the new pool safety laws and standards. Currently there are approximately 350,000 swimming pools located in the state of Queensland.
There are no pre-requisite requirements for enrolment in this course (no qualification/license or experience required)
This course is delivered over 3 days, from 8 am – 4 pm each day, via face to face in class room learning. As well as in-class training, the course will be delivered via practical learning on a real pool barrier at the training venue, as an example of real time Pool Inspections.
In preparation for the course, you will be required to complete a small amount of 'pre-course preparation' by reading over the Code of Conduct for Pool Safety Inspectors document (4 page document) and answering a short Assessment Questionnaire. This information will be emailed to you after you have enrolled.
Upon completion of this course you will receive a qualification allowing you to apply for your QLD Pool Safety Inspectors license so you can inspect pool barriers and issue Pool Safety Certificates. A QLD Pool Safety Inspector can also apply to have their QLD license mutually recognised via the NSW Building Professionals Board to also conduct inspections in NSW.
The course participant numbers are restricted to a maximum of 15 students per class, ensuring you receive the personalized one on one training and support you expect and deserve.

Jacqui has delivered this training since the industry commenced in December 2010, training hundreds of people from various backgrounds including swimming pool technicians, building and pest inspectors, builders, fencing installers, and then of course people with no qualifications or experience.
All of our students have successfully completed this course and become qualified Pool Safety Inspectors.
During the course you will learn the pool safety laws and how to apply these in the role of a Pool Safety Inspector when conducting an inspection of a regulated pool, for the issuing of a pool safety certificate or nonconformity notice. This course will provide you with the real practical skills required to operate a successful business in this industry.

This Unit will teach you the skills and knowledge required to competently perform inspections of regulated swimming pools and give pool safety certificates and nonconformity notices in accordance with legislative requirements. As such, you will learn how to:
Upon successfully completing this course you will receive your Statement of Attainment qualification. This is the nationally recognised qualification you will be required to present to the Queensland Building and Construction Commission to apply for your license. This license can also be mutually recognised by the NSW Building Professionals Board, so can complete pool barrier inspections in NSW.
